I like the Hermitcraft server, because it shows when you band together 8-10 friends, you could create an entire civilzation.

hoppers == a lot of lag dust == a lot of lag you: let's use a lot of both of them, because observers obviously can't detect from powered/detector rails changing state, and other containers don't exist (barrel, dropper, dispenser, composter, cauldron, chest, etc.... which are all so much lag friendlier than hoppers)

Make the walkways as wide as the outer building and use the idea of an underwater pathway with glass on top with a flow system to transport items through the base. You could have storage and farms beneath or some sort of item retrival system. Or make it your selling location and have a store that auto fills with items. Your other farms could be connected to the base via portals with mine carts delivering inside and then the storage system either teleports items as they sell or into internal storage for a store. If not storing on location they could collect diamonds and remote ship the item to the location on any side of the base like a remote buy system.

Maybe a machine to auto set the beacons in some cases. then people can choose to buy a beacon setting or use it as a free service if people buy stuff.

You could also put speed walking stuff under to make people walk faster or if it's possible make items move faster. The beacons could be functional to get people and items around faster. And you could allow mining of placed items for farming it bought items on location.

One solution to the beacons is to have them turn on and off. Then you never have them all on at once. Say have the inner set around the edge of pyramids on for so long. then those turn off and the middle and outter beacons turn on. Then those turn off and the walkway ones could turn on in their place. This could also be done for practical reasons like if a person walks on the walkway to show where they are. Then you can see if anyone gets on your base faster.

I was thinking you could also have the pathway beacons be connected with the beacons currently turned on by a switch. When hit the pathway beacons would go red. Which could be really cool for a lot of different uses. Kind of like an emergency button thing. So if switched. The pyramid, and the 4 pillars blue lights would go off, and the pathways would turn on being red.

You can use an observer pointing into a string, then behind a piston activating a redstone clock, so then you can make it shoot arrows until there is no armor stand in the string

i would say the amount of beacons is fine but i think it would be better to change some if the colors so like the tip of pyramid and the cardinal directions and cyan in the corners of ur base

I think easiest way to play this game is using F5 so you can stand in middle and watch all 8 holes

That mini game looks sick! As for the beacon question, imo there's too many. The eyes draw to the beacons and not the structure itself.

For scaffolding, i think holding shift and space at the same time will allow you to not climb or descend, and you can interact with blocks.

Why don't you use colored glass that slowly dissipates as it goes higher in the sky instead of the blue beacons? That way the focus is still on the base. I think the yellow beacons are perfect!

I like the beacons, but I think that if you got rid of the ones on the extra side builds, it would be a lille less over-the-top. You're such an amazing builder AND redstoner though, so I trust your judgement!!! :D

Your beacons are good but have you tried glowing rainbows that ring around your base like an aurora? I tried something like that for a tower build but i think your airspace needs a bit of spice (without darkening the ground) and a glass aurora would be awesome to see!

I have got an idea! If the Turf War will end in a tie, I propose the idea of the lichen alliance. Lichens are seagrass (close enough)+mycelium. Symbiotic organisms. This will mean that the Shopping District will be covered equally in mixed mycelium and grass.
